Everything about South Pasadena Middle School totally explained

South Pasadena Middle School (SPMS) is a public middle school located in South Pasadena, California.
The school is a part of the South Pasadena Unified School District. The school colors are orange and white, which represent the school mascot, a tiger cub. There is a drill team called the tigerettes. The school has a population of about 1,100 students. The school has a Math Team. They attend math contests annually and have had outstanding results. The school is mostly composed of whites.
South Pasadena Middle School, like certain other middle schools, has block scheduling, but uses a new method. A Monday is an "all day", where students attend all 6 periods but don't attend homeroom. Tuesdays and Thursdays are "odd days", where students attend only odd-numbered periods. Wednesdays and Fridays are "even days", where students substitute even-numbered periods instead of odd-numbered periods.. In 1999, all odd class days were referred as "white days," even class days were "orange days," and all class days were called "Tigger days." This was switched to odd, even, all days, respectively, the next school year.
On some occasions, students attend up to Wednesday regularly, but Thursday becomes an all day. This happens when there's a holiday on Friday. When there's a holiday on Monday, students just continue the rest of the week normally. Occasionally, on Fridays, there's a spirit day. the scheduling is the same, but students come to school dressed according to the themes, which vary from wackytacky, to orange and white.
As of May 25, 2008, Mercedes Metz is the principal and Robert Yim is the assistant principal.
As of May 25, 2008, there are 55 staff members at SPMS.
There are three grade levels. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
